Hi, I’m Sonal.

A qualified integrative counsellor & psychotherapist. Registered member of the BACP - British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and UKCP - UK Council for Psychotherapy.

I completed my training at The Minster Centre, London, which involved a number of therapeutic traditions: psychodynamic, attachment, body focused, relational theories, humanistic, mindfulness and CBT. I continue developing my work in a number of areas to provide a tailored, trauma informed, contemporary therapy space.

I work using a range of techniques and modalities, with a core base of including your identity, relational/family history, impact on body as we work and exploring your internal world & internalised messages. Here, I refer to internal world as how you speak to yourself, live day to day in your mind & body and experience other’s & the world around you.

I listen to what we sometimes can’t find words for but feel. Connecting to a deeper sense of what you may be contending with and who you are. Shame, fear and confusion can often be evoked in therapy and so I check in with you and we work at a consciously considered pace.

Therapy with me offers a chance to work towards understanding, connecting and finding a way forward. Building a safe space for us to be curious, challenge, explore and listen to what has bought you in.

I am bilingual but at the moment only offer therapy in English.

My background includes 10+ years’ experience of working within the field of and with, individuals experiencing and responding to change in mental health, family issues, trauma, abuse and sexual violence. My years within these roles have informed my approach as a counsellor now.
